Is your scsi card placed in a pci-X slot or pci slot?
I have an Adaptec AU card from my old 32bit system. Under device manager my Scsi card is recognized but states sp driver is NOT installed. User Name Remember Me?

None of the steps you outlined works. Computer powers off in sleep mode Our forum is dedicated to helping you find support and solutions for any problems regarding your Windows 7 PC be it Dell, HP, Acer, Asus or a custom build. IS there no way to manually make it find this driver??
Also, there is no disk or any other program from which I can ‘install’ via any setup routine so anything to do with installation via compatability is moot. Ultra Driver version 7.

So I went to google to see if I could find installation directions, I kept finding incredibly dated threads that talked about floppy discs haha and all kinds of other things, then I found a cached website giving directions but they talked about how the Driver 2910 imbedded into the OS installation disc.

I have also an Adaptec LPE: I am thinking that since the driver is working just fine in Vista x64 and from what I have read most drivers at this time work under Windows 7 that dp should work – it doesn’t. OS Windows 7 beta 1. After it does its search I tried to select the adaptec driver from the list but when checking the box I get an error msg about it can’t be found, as it has a -1 yet I KNOW its there as I previously copied it.

Sorry for all the questions, and there may be a way to make your card work with Win7x64, will try to help. It just seems like that must be a way to take working x64 bit Vista drivers and use them with Win7.
I now wish to install in my new Windows 7 32 bit PC, but cannot find a driver Windows cannot locate a driver and Adaptec have OK you need to get the 64bit drivers for Vista preferably from your MB manufactures site and install the in compatibility mode for Vista, right click on the setup file and go to properties and go to the compatibility tab and select Vista in the compatibility options and see if that lets you install them.
Once I ran Kill Disk on it though, I couldn’t read the hard drive anymore! Thanks and I look forward to your next response.
